2. Self-motivation in both classroom learning and homework completion

4. Self-advocated with both teachers and fellow students
5. Strong reading and comprehension skills for non-math classes
The student need to be willing to commit to the following criteria for placement into an honors/AP or IB class:
1. Student commitment to remaining in class for a minimum of one semester
2. Student commitment to a summer honors assignment which is due the 1st day of school. Failure to complete the summer assignment is not a reason for a course change in August
3. Student commitment to a strong, independent work ethic
4. Student commitment to completion of all homework assignments Online Education classesAll online academic credits must be taken through SUSD eLearning . Visit SUSD eLearning for course lists, descriptions and additional information. SUSD will accept transfer credits form other online providers as elective credit only.
To students and parents regarding enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year:
Students wishing to enroll in any online learning course for the 2012-2013 school year must sign up for that class during the course selection process in January/February of 2012. Schedule changes out of a traditional class and into an eLearning class will only be permitted in August 2012 for students who may have failed a class the previous semester or if there is a conflict in their schedule.
If students take a one semester elearning class during the either semester and wish to work on their course in a computer lab during the school day, the student will only be given a lab seat until the end of the current semester, if space is available. If the student is entitled to additional time to finish the class, due to a later start date, they must finish the class at home, as space in the lab is not guaranteed past the end of the semester they begin the class.
